Who we are

What we do
We provide credit assistance: we help you apply for credit, suggest particular loans, and assist you to increase a limit. We do not provide credit ourselves; the lender does. We act in your best interests when providing credit assistance in relation to home loans (Best Interests Duty).
Lenders we deal with
We have access to a panel of lenders through our aggregator, including major banks, regional and customer-owned banks, non-bank and specialist lenders. The lenders we most commonly use are listed in our written Credit Guide and discussed on our lender panel page. We may recommend a lender that is not on our panel if it is in your best interests.
How we are paid
For home loans we are generally paid by the lender: an upfront commission (typically in the range of 0.5%–0.7% of the loan amount, plus GST) and a trail commission (typically 0.15%–0.3% per annum of the outstanding balance, plus GST). We do not usually charge you a fee for home-loan credit assistance. If a fee applies to any service (for example some commercial or specialist lending), we will disclose it in a written quote before you proceed. Commission amounts for your specific loan are disclosed in your Credit Proposal. We may also pay or receive referral fees, which are disclosed to you.
Our obligations to you
Before suggesting or assisting you with a loan we must make reasonable enquiries about your requirements and objectives, make reasonable enquiries about your financial situation, take reasonable steps to verify that situation, and assess whether the loan is not unsuitable for you. You can request a copy of our preliminary assessment free of charge.
Complaints
If you have a complaint, contact us first (see our complaints process). If it is not resolved to your satisfaction within 30 days you may contact the Australian Financial Complaints Authority (AFCA): afca.org.au, 1800 931 678, GPO Box 3, Melbourne VIC 3001.
